How & Why I Started

or maybe the better question is, Why & How

In 2014 I had my first breast cancer diagnosis at just around 40. So in that time I learned a lot more about what we put in our bodies and how it can affect us and I you know moved to natural products and became very sensitive about chemicals in both my foods and in my skincare and cleaning products.

From there I carried on with my career and then became more aware about the environment. So in my previous life, which was restaurants, I knew I was going to leave that industry to go do my own thing and I had always wanted a store, but I didn't want a store that was going to put more crap in the world.
So, I was waiting for the right concept, the right inspiration and timing to all sort of come together And in the restaurants, I started to just make initiatives to better improve our eco practices.

I was the first to get rid of straws and then we started changing all of our ticket containers to compostable containers and anywhere we could reduce plastic, we did. That started me on just wanting a whole healthier, mission in my life both for my body and for the planet and the idea was born to have a store that can help other people access these products easily in one spot.
