Damsel Fly - Kristi Odom - A Slender Spreadwing Damselfly opens its wings before flight at Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Woodbridge, VA."

Dancer - Amy Vitale"The photo is of a traditional dancer from Udaipur, India inside a haveli. When I saw her twirling inside the magnificent architecture of the Rajasthan state, I was struck by her poetry. She too is one of the most powerful storytellers. Her vocabulary is based on gestures, movement and expression. My hope is that the photo becomes a symbol of all the love, colour, richness and stories we all share."

Flicker - Clare Hodgetts - "This image is a close up of the breast feathers of a Norther Flicker. I have always been fascinated by the intricacies of bird feathers – how hundreds to thousands of feathers line up to make such beautiful patterns. A number of years ago, I had the wonderful experience of having access to the Museum of Nature’s bird collection and was able to take close up images of many bird feathers. That experience sparked a dream to print a bird feather pattern on a piece of clothing – making it into a wearable art piece. This beautiful scarf is the culmination of that dream. Northern Flicker feathers are believed to bring good luck and healing – I hope that this scarf brings you both of those things."

Sable Island Horses - Michelle Valberg "Feral and protected, the exotic Sable Island horses run free on this beautiful 42km long crescent shaped island located off the east coast of Nova Scotia.  There is no human interference with these wild horses and they now estimate 560 of them are on this isolated and sometimes intimidating island."

Through the Ferns - Clare Hodgetts - "The waves this day were absolutely amazing. The Pacific Northwest serves up some really beautiful waves when the conditions are right. I turned this image into a compilation by adding the ferns in the foreground so that you feel like you're sitting on the shore watching the show.
